Ingredients:
- 10 medium pastilla sheets
- Oil for frying
For the Milk Mixture:
- 10g cornstarch (Maïzena)
- 35g granulated sugar
- 1 pinch of mastic (optional)
- 1 tbsp orange blossom water
- 100g roasted crushed almonds
Preparation:
- Fry the pastilla sheets two at a time until they turn golden brown.
- Let them drain for a few minutes.
- In a saucepan, mix the milk with cornstarch and sugar.
- Place the saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously until it comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add the pinch of mastic and orange blossom water.
- On a serving plate, layer the pastilla sheets, alternating with the warm milk mixture and crushed almonds.
Serve the Milk Pastilla immediately.
