Simple Meringue (8 servings)

Ingredients:

  • 6 egg whites
  • 300g granulated sugar
  • 2 pinches of salt

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 100°C (Th.3). In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff, adding the salt gradually. Use an electric mixer or a hand whisk. Slowly add the sugar while continuing to whisk. The gradual addition of sugar is crucial for perfect meringues.
  2. Once the egg white-sugar mixture is smooth, transfer it to a piping bag and pipe small mounds onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 2 hours. Once fully baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool at room temperature.
