Ingredients:
- 1 kg pumpkin
- 40g butter
- 2 tbsp orange blossom water
- 60g granulated sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- A pinch of salt
Preparation:
- Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and cut the flesh into small pieces.
- Cook the pumpkin either in the oven or by steaming until tender.
- Melt the butter in a pan, add the cooked pumpkin pieces, and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the orange blossom water, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Let it caramelize over low heat until all the liquid has evaporated.
- Serve warm with bread. For extra flavor, you can add walnuts and/or raisins—the combination works beautifully!
